Daniela Piazzalunga is Assistant Professor at the University of Trento and research affiliate at CHILD Collegio Carlo Alberto.
Previously, she has been a postdoctoral research fellow at FBK-IRVAPP and at the University of Verona, after receiving her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Turin and Collegio Carlo Alberto in 2016.
Her research interests include gender economics, economics of education, and labour economics more broadly, with a focus on policy evaluation methods. She has ongoing research in the following areas: (i) children human capital development, (ii) gender differences in mathematics and (iii) temporary employment.

She joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2016 and became an IZA Research Fellow in November 2021.
