Mathias Sinning

Mathias Sinning is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Crawford School of Public Policy of the Australian National University (ANU). He is the architect of an econometric method to estimate generalized quantile treatment effects. His research focuses on extending and applying this method in experimental and quasi-experimental settings. He has published extensively in various domains of economics, including public economics, labor economics, health economics, development economics, and behavioral economics. His academic background includes previous appointments at the ANU and the University of Queensland, as well as Visiting Fellowships at Princeton University and Peking University. He is a Research Fellow of RWI Leibniz Institute for Economic Research and a Research Affiliate of MIT's Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in January 2007 and became a Research Fellow in April 2010.
