Felix Koenig is an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University.


Felix’ main research interest is in applied microeconomics. His current researcher focuses on inequality, technical change and unemployment.

Felix received his Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and holds a BA degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. Prior to joining CMU, Felix was a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University.

Felix joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in 2017. And is an affiliate of the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP). He became a Research Fellow in December 2023.
