Franck Malherbet is a professor of economics at the Paris Graduate School of Economics, Statistics and Finance (ENSAE) and researcher at CREST (the joint research department from ENSAE and Ecole Polytechnique).

His current research topics are unemployment and labour market institutions with a particular concern for employment protection legislation (EPL) and two-tier labour markets. He his also also interested in macroeconomics, development economics and bargaining theory. He has published in the
Economic Journal, International Economic Eeview, European Economic Review, Labour Economics, Journal of Public Economics and other journals. Franck Malherbet joined IZA as Research Fellow in September 2004.
