Munseob Lee is an Assistant Professor at University of California San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS). He is also a director of the GPS's Korea-Pacific Program. His research areas are macroeconomics, economic growth, and development economics. Lee has been a short-term consultant at the World Bank, a visiting fellow at the Asian Development Bank, and a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis as well as the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. He received a BA in Economics from Seoul National University in 2010 and a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2017. He became an IZA Research Affiliate in May 2023.
