Pia Pinger is a professor at the University of Cologne. She completed her PhD in Economics at the University of Mannheim in 2013. Her main research interests revolve around the formation of human capital (education and health economics) and applied microeconometrics.

Pia joined the IZA network as a Research Affiliate in February 2010 and became a Research Fellow in July 2015. She also collaborates closely with the local research team at IZA as an Associated Member.
