Research Interests

Christian vom Lehn is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Brigham Young University.

His research focuses on labor economics and macroeconomics. To date, his research has focused on topics surrounding worker occupations and tasks, the impacts of automation and trade on workers, gender and labor supply, worker flows across locations and jobs, and cyclical propagation mechanisms for employment, unemployment and worker productivity.

He earned his PhD from Princeton University in 2014 and his BA from Brigham Young University in 2009. His work has been published or is forthcoming in peer-reviewed outlets such as the Journal of Monetary Economics, Review of Economic Dynamics, European Economic Review, and Labour Economics.

Christian vom Lehn joined IZA as a Research Fellow in May 2020.
