Alexander Yarkin is an economist working on political economy, development, cultural and labor economics. In his recent papers, he addresses questions related to immigration, diversity, social networks, populist voting, identity, and historical political economy.

He received his PhD in Economics from Brown University in May 2023. He is currently doing a postdoc at LISER and UC Davis, working with Frederic Docquier and Giovanni Peri.
