Álmos Telegdy is Associate Professor at the Corvinus University of Budapest and Senior Researcher at the National Bank of Hungary. He received his PhD from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences.

His research focuses on the effects of state and foreign ownership on firm performance, employment and wages, public sector labor markets, the effects of firm subsidies and the study of interfirm trade. His research was published in refereed scholarly journals, such as the Economic Journal, European Economic Review, Industrial and Labor Relations Reivew, Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Political Economy, Labour Economics and numerous chapters in edited volumes.

Telegdy teaches Econometrics, Labor Economics and Corporate Governance. His policy experience includes consulting with the European Employment Observatory, the World Bank, USAID and the Hungarian Ministry of Labor.



He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in January 2008.
