Lorenzo Cappellari is Professor of Economics at Università Cattolica in Milan, Senior Research Scientist at the Luxembourg Institute for Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and a research fellow at IZA, CESIFO and ZEW. His research interests are in the field of empirical labour economics, in particular earnings and income dynamics, intergenerational mobility, education, applied microeconometrics. He serves as president of the Italian Association of Labour Economics (AIEL) for the term 2022-25.



He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in November 2003.
