Falko Juessen

Falko Jüßen is full professor of international and regional economics at the Schumpeter School of Business and Economics,
University of Wuppertal. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Universität Dortmund in August 2006, where was an Assistant Professor at the Chair of Macroeconomics. He was also co-head (together with Prof. Walter Krämer) of the DFG-funded project "International Allocation of Risk" in the framework of Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB) 475. Falko Jüßen's primary research interests are in intra- and international macroeconomics. In particular, he is working on risk sharing and labor migration. His dissertation is a collection of four essays on empirical growth convergence and regional risk sharing.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in August 2007 and became a Research Fellow in April 2010.
