Dr Matthew Ridley is Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick. He is also a research associate of the CAGE Research Centre.

His research lies in the areas of behavioural and development economics. His research covers topics including the effects of mental health on economic outcomes, gender, labour markets, and biases in beliefs using principally experimental and survey-based methods. In ongoing work, he is studying the links between mental health, job search behaviour and productivity in Kenya and perceptions of workplace sexual harassment in the UK and across countries.
