Sebastian Butschek is a post-doc at the University of Innsbruck. He completed his PhD at the University of Cologne in 2019.

Sebastian is an applied microeconomist working on labour market issues. He uses both observational data and field experiments to study employers’ hiring behaviour and its consequences.

Sebastian joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in 2024.
