Alexander Ahammer is currently an Assistant Professor at Johannes Kepler University Linz.

He is an applied microeconomist interested in topics at the intersection of health and labor economics. Recently, he has studied the effects of labor market programs on worker health and the impact of downsizing on workers that remain in the firm. He received his PhD from Johannes Kepler University Linz in 2018.

Alexander Ahammer joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2023.
