Mathias André is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics, École Polytechnique (Paris) on the supervision of Christian Belzil. He is also affiliated to the Microeconometrics Laboratory at CREST. He graduated from ENSAE and Paris School of Economics in 2009.
His research interests include Economics of Education and Applied Microeconometrics. In particular, he is studying various determinants of schooling choices such as risk aversion, non cognitive skills or social preferences. His research aims to understand the influence of uncertainty on educational choices or earnings profiles. Using structural or semi-structural methods, he pays attention to the individual heterogeneity of the models.
He was an IZA Research Affiliate from 2011 until July 2017.
