Aapo Stenhammar is an assistant professor at the Institute for Applied Microeconomics, Department of Economics, at the University of Bonn.
He is also a research fellow at the Labour Institute for Economic Research LABORE in Helsinki, Finland.
Aapo received his PhD in Economics from Aalto University and Helsinki GSE, with research visits to UC Berkeley and the IIES at Stockholm University during his doctoral studies.
His research focuses on the interaction between labor markets, public policy, and political responses. He also employs machine learning methods to digitize archived documents and integrate text and images into econometric analysis.
He collaborates closely with IZA's local research team as an Associated Member.
