David Slichter is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Binghamton University (State University of New York). He received his PhD from the University of Rochester in 2016.

His primary fields are labor economics and econometrics. His main area of interest is understanding how educational and community inputs during childhood affect success in the labor market. He also has interests in developing tests of standard reduced form identifying assumptions and methods which are robust to failures of these assumptions.

David Slichter joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2021.
