Nathan Kettlewell is a Senior Lecturer in the Economics Department at the University of Technology Sydney and a research affiliate of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course. He received his PhD in economics from the University of New South Wales in 2017.

His research interests are in health economics, public policy, behavioural economics and the economics of risk. Nathan has published several papers on the Australian private health insurance market, covering topics such as adverse selection, moral hazard and choice quality. He is currently working on projects exploring the formation and consequences of different attitudes towards risk.

Nathan Kettlewell joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in October 2018 and became a Research Fellow in December 2023.
