Amanda Dahlstrand is an Assistant Professor at the Economics Department of University of Zurich.
Before that, she was a postdoc at Microsoft Research New England, after completing a PhD in Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE). Her research interests are in labor, health, and development economics and her work is published in, e.g., the Journal of Political Economy.
Her current research is focused on using big firm and administrative datasets to study the economic effects of new technology on work, inequality, and healthcare, often with a spatial lens.
Amanda Dahlstrand joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2023.
