Attila Gyetvai is an economist working on fundamental questions about labor markets. His research focuses on job mobility, both from a substantive and a methodological perspective.

Attila is a research economist at the Bank of Portugal. He will join the Department of Economics at the University of Florida as a visiting assistant professor in August 2025. He has received his Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University in 2021, his M.A. in Economics from Central European University in 2015, and his B.A. in Applied Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest in 2012.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in March 2021 and has been a Research Fellow since January 2025.
