Erwin Winkler is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Würzburg in 2020. During his Ph.D., he conducted research visits at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania).
Erwin’s research interests include labor economics, applied microeconomics, applied econometrics, and international trade. His current research focuses on the labor market effects of technological progress and globalization, on the role of non-wage job amenities in the labor market, and on applications of machine learning in empirical research.
His work has been published in journals like The Revíew of Economics and Statistics, European Economic Review, and Journal of Population Economics.
