Hamid R. Oskorouchi is an Assistant Professor at the University of Palermo (Italy). His interests include development economics, demography, poverty and inequality. He published his work in peer-reviewed journals such as Agricultural Economics, Population and Development Review, and World Development.

Hamid R. Oskorouchi studied Economics at the Universities of Cagliari (Italy) and Florence (Italy). He obtained a double Ph.D. degree in Economics from the Universities of Hohenheim (Germany) and Trento (Italy) in 2018.

Hamid R. Oskorouchi joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in April 2021.
